A Fire Risk Assessment is a legal requirement for anyone responsible for management of fire in a building i.e. an employer, owner or occupier of premises. You must to ensure that a suitably competent person completes a Fire Risk Assessment.
It is your duty to identify fire risks and hazards in your premises and take appropriate action to remedy any issues and train the required individuals to know how to respond in case of a fire emergency.
How often do you need to do it?
It is recommended that a Fire Risk assessment is carried out every 12 months after the original assessment, or if the building’s structure or layout has changed or if the building’s purpose has substantially changed.
